THE NEW FLICKR – Who needs Flickr “Pro” when you can “let Tumblr be Tumblr” – “Tumblr’s Porn Can Stay, Suggests Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer,” THE HUFFINGTON POST (20/05/2013).

[Note imagine the business, media, public reaction if GOOGLE’s Ceo Larry Page, or FACEBOOK’s Ceo Mark Zuckerberg made similar statements about ‘GOOGLE / FACEBOOK Porn Can Stay,’ such as the recent statement by Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer?]

According to Yahoo CEO, Mrs. Marissa Mayer’s wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marissa_Mayer page it says:

“On May 21, 2013, Mayer came under criticism from the photography world, when at a press conference announcing the controversial redesign of Flickr she said in response to a reporter’s question: “There’s no such thing as Flickr Pro anymore, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there’s no such thing as professional photographers.” Mayer later apologized via Twitter, calling it a “misstatement”. Mayer however subsequently deleted the tweets in which she apologized.”

“Boards and honors. As well as sitting on the boards of directors of Walmart, Jawbone and Yahoo! Mayer also sits on several non-profit boards such as Cooper–Hewitt, National Design Museum, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.”

My question is now, the National Design Museum, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, is it in the best interest of these organizations to have sitting on their board of directors someone such as the CEO, Mrs. Marissa Mayer, who now has invested 1.1 billion dollars on May 20, 2013 in buying ‘Tumblr’ and Mrs. Mayer is now advocating ‘Tumblr’ Porn’?
