During the excavations in the Forum of Caesar (1998-1999) within the foundations of the former Academy of San Luca (N.E sector of the Portico of the Forum of Caesar) archaeologists discovered an inscriptions with the text: [n]ius Bas[sus], which may refer to either: Iunius Bassus signo Theotecnius = Giunio Basso Teotecnio, praefectus urbi of Rome (357/359 AD), or Anicius Auchenius Bassus = Anicio Auchen Basso, praefectus urbi of Rome (382 AD). **
